My only concern (as one who suffers a lot from insect bites) would be the possible attraction of unwanted visitors to the bedroom - assume windows remain open.

    Hi Barnaby

I really don't see that as a problem.

"possible attraction of unwanted visitors to the bedroom"

I've had terrible trouble with that in my time.

It had nothing to do with open windows or plants, though.

The only thing you need to worry about is whether the plan itself (house or garden) is toxic or harmful via the sap that can cause irritations and there are quite a few.
