Thanks Eddybaby......I'm betting it's in a pot containing multi purpose compost! If so, repot in john innes. It will make a diference....holds moisture and nutrients better, gives weight too to the plant.
    What size pot too?
It will grow in a pot.....a friend of mine has 2 in heavy pots and look great. They are kept reasonably moist, fed well and mulched :)

This is mine. I bought it this year around April. It was planted in a 60cm tub with John Innes No 3 and bonemeal. It has been fed twice (maybe three times - I dont keep count) with fish, blood & bone. I was watering it once a week before the hot weather struck. I have tried to water it every other day but sometimes it misses a day or two, especially with the football running late into the night. This one was last watered on Sunday. I am very pleased with how it's coming on since I bought it.

    IMG_4060.JPG Looking great Gary :)

Flamingo in front garden....a fresh round of pink shoots adds to its colouring. If kept reasonably moist Flamingo will repeatedly add fresh colourful shoots during the summer

Hi Verdun. I took your advice and my Salix Flamingo is now thriving. See attached. I haven't planted it out yet (trying to decide on a suitable spot and space is limited) but it looks so much better. Thank you very much for your help.
