I've got sat nag as well as sat nav, but she can't see too well to read a map. In fact to tell the truth she can't read a map anyway.:lollol:

To be honest, they're all probably much the same. Navman has the big HOME button on it too.
To program it to go somewhere you either input the postcode or the street name and house number, it then works out how to get you there. The HOME button will always get you back home.
It also has a big 'P' button which will take you to the nearest petrol station when you press it.

    I have a tom tom.
    I love it.
It makes my life so much easier when I'm looking for an address and driving.
No numbers on their doors and some of the road names are either missing or hidden.
I find it easy to use.
Much better than the old dog eared A to Z :hehe:

I give the tom tom a big :gnthb:

Have to agree that they are worth the money. I wish I'd had one when I was working across the Southern counties daily.

Like Dave W, I also have sat nag!

She always thinks she knows better than the sat nav. and I find it amusing to let them both argue it out! :D

I have used both Tom Tom which was much more user friendly but not always that reliable and sometimes ambiguous at multiple junctions, and also the Aldi (Medion), which was not so user friendly but totally reliable and very clear instructions all the time.

I have just bought myself a Tomtom, apparently they are particularly good for women, as they are uncomplicated and easy to get the hang of. I have used mine several times now and have to say it is brilliant and took me know time at all to work it.

I have used various sat navs. Generally, they are all good but I agree with Poppy that Tom Tom is supposed to be good for women. Easy commands etc. You still should check your route on a map first.

    WORD OF WARNING RE "HOME"

    To all sat nav users.

It is best not to put your home location into the "Home" setting but put a location nearby (next street etc). If your sat nav gets stolen from your car, or your car is stolen with the sat nav in it, they not only know that you are not at home but know where your home is.
