Zigs, isn't there an old ghost story thread knocking around in GC's ether somewhere, I'm sure I posted on it in the past. :)

When we lived in Sheffield, there was a ghost of a young lad there. Just a kid I think, because his behaviour was very petty (moving stuff, sometimes in plain view, and we could wind him up easily, taunting until something would literally launch across the room like it had been thrown in a huff).

One time we'd been away for the weekend (up home, not unusual), got back late as usual, and I did the usual house search because wife was a bit insecure about the neighbourhood. Going through the motions as normal, I started down the cellar, and worked my way through every room to the attack looking for intruders or signs that any had been, not expecting to actually see anything out of the ordinary. This one time though I got as far as the upstairs landing when I clearly, plain as day, say a young lad crouching in the doorway to the stairs leading to the attic. I saw him plain as day. Not cloud like, not haze, an actual young lad. It never even entered my head that it might be a ghost, because he was real. We stared straight at each other, then I charged straight at him because to me I was catching a burglar, no doubt at all. He bolted up the stairs to the attic. Plain as day as he disappeared round the corner full tilt, I could hear the stairs creaking and everything. I was only a second behind him. There was nowhere for him to go, but he wasn't there when I rounded the corner into the attic. I wasted no time in doing a scan of the room, hiding places and exit points first. There was no way he could have escaped, but he wasn't there. The window was still shut and locked. The hatch to the unconverted bit of loft was still on and hidden behind a wardrobe, which was still in place. Nobody was under the bed. Either it was our ghosty, or he'd vanished into thin air, or the house had a singularity in it that I was unaware of.

Have a situation going on RIGHT NOW. My company purchased a lovely home for our individuals to move in to. It is about a 10 minute drive from my house. The person who owned it left to live in a notable retirement home, she was/is a author or Christian books. She lived there with her husband who did pass away. Next to the house is a grave yard.
She has a blog, I have searched her blog for any writtings of what I am about to tell you, but none are there.
My staff, a group, I have known for several years tell me: A certain bedroom door can unlatch itself and fly open. That a purse left on the fireplace mantel can fly off and be found in the middle of the floor (they heard the bang after it dropped) That the washing machine can keep filling up with water even after they unplugged it. That coming home one afternoon the doors of the kitchen cupboard all were open.
They think it is Chuck the husband that died, so with the bedroom door they will say, OK, Chuck stop it, and it does for that night.
I told them to get a Bible and put it on the mantel, see what happens.
(not that I 'really"believe) but this is too crazy.
