    another local fisherman,he had spotted a killer whale,but we had no luck

    Oh, Kathy, now I can see why you wear two sweaters in August!!! Your village is so open and unprotected, I bet you have to batten down all the hatches when a storm comes up. But your lovely garden tells a different story, at least in the summer. You'll have to show us how it is in the winter.

    Great pics and what a whopper next to your foot! Pity you didn't get to see the Orcas too.

    hi Kedi-Gato
    a wild place even in summer,but would never move,its surely a bit of gods country,to be honest this past few years we have had better winters than summers,years ago because its very, open the dual carriageway used to have snow fences to try to stop snow drifting onto the road.10ft drifts were quite common :( :( :(

    Brrrrr!!!!! I know those snow fences Kathy. I've seen plenty of them down in south Germany and Austria, on our way to the Alps to go skiing. Glad we don't need them up here where it is flat as a pancake, like nearby Holland.
