    :rotfl: I have a feeling that cormorants are opportunist fishermen who will go anywhere which might supply a good fish supper :). If you're ever in Penshurst Village, there's a nice sustrans cycle/footpath which takes you past some large pools where cormorants are often to be seen. You can round things off with a trip to Quaintways Tearooms, one of my favourite places. It may not be there for very much longer, sadly, as it looks as though the lease may not be renewed. Grab a large slice of cake while you can!

    I have seen cormorants on our local canal and that is Shropshire which is some distance from the sea.
