That, what looks like, a cedar tree, in your castle pic Marge is a massive example.

There are so many really outstanding photographs already I can see it will be a really hard job selecting just three at the end of the competition. I'm really enjoying my virtual autumn tour of the UK and abroad. It's nice to see what others see. Keep 'em coming!

Pete - I think it is a cedar tree - there are some fantastic trees at the castle but that was my favourite [IMG]

I had wondered, Marley, but thought you were going by actual quarters for ease. I kept thinking there's an awful lot of winter-looking pictures here! [IMG]

We all make mistakes and you've had a lot going on the latter part of this year ... no need for apologies ... only thanks for coping with it all. [IMG]

For a while I thought we were going for 21st of Dec as the first day of winter, but cant say it matters much Marley.
I think winter is just really getting going now anyway. [IMG]

[IMG] I am so sorry. It just completely slipped my mind. Yes I know total divvy..! :D
I am supposed to be running them the way I first said which was Sept -Nov = Autumn
    Dec - Feb = Winter
Etc etc. So as I said we shall just make the winter one a tad shorter & that will then bring us back on track.
I did think of trying to work it with the vernal equinox etc, but that is a tad confusing as the dates change. So we will carry on & I promised to keep it right after that...
A you say though Pete looks like winter is only just getting going..

[IMG] I shall also make the voting time longer on this one, as there are more photos to sift through & judge.
Does that sound OK with everyone?

    [IMG] Hope so..! [IMG]
