I'm sorting my vegetable seeds and have some surplus available.

Organic Pumpkin "Ukrainian Prolific". A classic large, orange, ribbed pumpkin. These were a free gift with a seed order.

Paris Cornishon. A gherkin, to you and me. Another freebie.

Courgette Zephyr F1, bought from Premier Seeds. A very decent variety, but I have others I prefer.

Chufa Sedge aka Tiger Nuts. I have no clue. Another freebie.

All of the below came in packets too big for us to use here, so I can send you some:

    Purple Sprouting Broccoli, "Rudolph".

    Florence Fennel.

    Carrot "Little Finger"

    Beetroot Cylindria.

Edit: Plenty of Aubergine Listada di Gandia.

Still plenty of tomato seeds available.

PayPal £1 for p&p for as many types as you fancy

Tiger nuts are a mediteranian/african tuber crop, one of these crops that dissapeared after industrial agriculture. The spanish drink horchata is made from it. Ive heard theyre pretty invasive though like jerusalem artichokes.

I also have a few seeds if anyone wants:
A white and an orange micro pumpkin, the size of a big apple
      Purple Kale
      White radishes
A mysterious sweet and crunchy orange tomato.
My own selected seeds of plump cucamelons.
Not too many of each though.

Local lidl doesn't have seeds in yet. Would have thought they would be in by now. Not that I need any more...but maybe they may have a few different varieties this year

Mrs Shiney is in charge of seeds. A 5ft run of kitchen worktop is full of boxes containing packets and paper bags of small seeds and plastic containers of larger seeds. Some are vegetables and a lot are flowers - all collected from the garden. There is also a large baking tray full of picked fennel heads where she hasn't yet taken the seeds from. She puts seeds into small packets and gives them away at gardening and flower clubs that she belongs to. :noidea:

There is no apparent method in how they are kept but she seems to know exactly where everything is. :rolleyespink: :)

Maybe supply issue, my nearest have about half of the normal range, they 'think' that more will come....

Sounds like 'organised chaos' I'm a bit like that myself. Being tidy and methodical is too stressful for me. I have bundles of seed packets on the kitchen worktop, which I move back and fore every time I make tea etc, some in a bag hanging on the door that leads under the stairs, and some in a tupperware box actually under the stairs, and there's a few more in an utility room ...
I haven't got any I collected in from the garden but intend doing that this coming year.

                Organised chaos here too.:heehee:

I have tins full in the kitchen near the kettle...so I can peruse while the kettle boils, I have stacked envelopes on 3 shelves in the utility room that I can browse while on a mission to select food items from the fridge/ freezer. I also have a selection of 'what can be sown this month' seeds ..stashed under the side table next to 'my chair ' in our lounge that I can browse through while, listening to music, watching my much loved European films, making video and phone calls , catching up on emails, knitting..oh and having meaningful conversations with hubs...........I'm easily distracted.:heehee:

I like to be organised so run a spreadsheet with all my seed sowing times so I don't have to carry it around in my head. Seed packets are stored alphabetically in a tin. My spreadsheet goes back to the 80s so I can see what date I've sown what, pricked out, planted and first and last harvested. Also keep ratings so I don't grow something that tasted awful again.

In the winter I weed out of date packets and create a list of seeds that need to be bought and try and get them all from one or two suppliers to minimise postage. It's on my phone so I check in garden centres I still accidentally buy the same thing twice or impulse buy like any human.

I just chuck them in a shoe box, but it all needs sorting out as some are 5 yrs old along with new seed bought this year.

My usual approach is to just get another shoe box.

Early Autumn my fresh stash is very neat & organised....into Perennials, Annuals, ,Veg, Salads, Herbs then sub divided into sowing months.... unfortunately once I start planning and rummaging through them...well things change some what.;)

I dont even know what a spread sheet really is, they used to be always going on about them in the office at one of the places I worked but I never worked out what they actually mean.

I've never been particularly organised in anything I've ever done really.

Spreadsheets are nothing special, they are just a list kept on a computer. Same as writing a list in a notebook except you can reorganise the order with one click for example, instead of an alphabetic order it can be in sowing date order.

I find they save me time and use them for other things, anything to do with numbers they come into there own as they automatically add up columns of figures, useful for accounting.

I really like my spreadsheets for keeping track of the sowing season. Just by asterisking the varieties I've sown and then opting for sorting A-Z, I can group them together, with the still-to-sow varieties listed below. I can add how many seeds I've sown, how many have germinated and all manner of other attributes. I have a different spreadsheet for listing all my tomato seeds, with type, size, comments and whether I have sharable quantities of any given variety.
