:yikes: I'm afraid all that would do my head in, it's too rigid and scientific.
However, I understand that we're all different, and what suits one person doesn't suit another. I believe in accepting people as they are, and letting people do things their own way ... and I also expect people to let me do things my way. So if you want spread sheets, have spread sheets, and I'm pleased to know you find them useful ... but I couldn't cope with them

I have the least "scientific" mind you can imagine. My spreadsheets are my best defence against my lifelong scatterbrain tendencies. :rolleyespink:

Like I said, we're all different. Great if you find them useful, but spread sheets would send me doolaly.

@Michael Hewett I wouldn't worry too much - Spread sheets are really just sheets of paper which you spread over any available work surface and on which you record what you've sown, when and whether it came to fruition. Place in a box and put away in a safe place until updating is needed. :phew:

I'm not worried, it's just that sort of thing is not for me.

@Michael Hewett I agree. This year I tried to keep a diary of what I've done in the garden - lasted about a weekend!

I find a slightly scatter brained approach to gardening can lead to better results.

I do keep my seeds sorted by category in Tupperwares in a fridge so they stay fresh, in theory.

it's been so wet, so long this winter that I did actually make a wee Excel file of my veggie seeds and have recorded on it what I have sown on what day. Didn't start till last week and so far have recorded what has germinated.

Who knows how long that will last if/when we get some sunshine. Haven't recorded flowers and other ornamentals.

Always worth putting aside the pots or trays for a year and then if nothing has still not come up spreading the contents on an odd bit of ground. I've (very) occasionally had strange things pop up.

IMG_20240612_104613_426.jpg I was starting to worry that Customs had nabbed this little lot, but they finally made it home.
