    Well after I gave them a good roasting one was startled enough to show itself :D

    The latest batch are now pete :rolleyes:

    [​IMG] Was given 4 Banana Ensete Glaucum seeds at the weekend. I was told they take up to 6 months to germinate... To keep them at about 65-75 degrees & plenty of light so it will be interesting to see what I get...... [​IMG] Never tried anything like them before from seed... [​IMG]

    often thought about banana seeds, but far too impatient to wait 6 months!!!

    i think someone must have slipped banana seeds in my parsnip packet cos im still waiting for them to show after a month! :confused:

    Quickest seeds ever for me-dwarf godetia sowed Friday, showing nicely yesterday! Basil just showing yesterday too, sowed at same time.

    I sowed some pineapple seeds at the beginning of the month and there's already a sprout! Mind - it's a bit soon, isn't it?

    Hey well done michaelmasdaisy. Have you ever done the thing where you cut the top off and get it to root from that?

    [​IMG] May 16th I posted that I had sown some Banana Ensete Glaucum. Well so far 2 of the 4 have germinated & here they are. [​IMG] Also just squeezing into shot an advocado seedling that is coming on in leaps & bounds... :D

    MF I am lost in admiration - great plants! :D

    and I must report my first pumpkin has appeared
    albeit only the size of a large gooseberry as yet :D

    Looking good MF, Might try some myself, it's one of the few exotics I have not tried from seed. [​IMG]
