    Agastanche anisata

Never even heard of it! It came through the post from T & M today, I didn't order it, it just appeared, so I put them in seed tray, read the instructions then wondered why I had not offered them on ebay - 3 - 4 months germination! well at least they do not have to go in the fridge.

    Complete mystery.

I've just checked my seed trays and the dierama have germinated after weeks of sitting on top of the soil- and so have some of the hardy geraniums. [IMG]

The agastanche which was supposed to take 3 weeks to germinate was through in 4 days!

I have had some great plants of ebay - always worth a look - but don't bid against me!!!!!

    27 Epi seeds arrived today.

The growing instructions tell me that I can expect flowers in as little as 5 years. Hmmm, when they say that it usually means 10.

Blimey, I don't know if I'll be able to keep them or myself alive that long.

    [IMG] Hi BM.
Thanks for asking..Well I still have 2 of them.... Just..!! Nearly lost one before Xmas.. Think it might have been a bit to wet.. Accident..!!!! [IMG] One is about 12" tall the other that nearly died is about 8" They are not doing anything much at the moment, just kinda sitting there.. :D They are in the greenhouse, just ticking along at the moment... I hope they make it alright. I am not sure how happy they are in there, but I suppose this time of year they are not going to be doing much.... The one that nearly died is looking a bit sad, but there is a nice green shoot, just waiting to unfurl, the 12" one is just a leaf really... [IMG] If I remember & have time, I will go & take a photo later. Pitch dark still at the moment... :D I just love your photos in the comp. They are winners as far as I am concerned....! [IMG] :D

Thanks MF, I am sending some ensete seeds to wahaj but I might try another one as I have 5 left. I said you might have some tips as you had two that germinated. [IMG]

Would love to see some pics. My comp pic 'Midnight Flower' is printed and on my wall. I am really pleased I found the over exposure function. I can take loads more now in the summer with the disco lights going and the under lighting showing off the fronds and other foliage. :D
