I don't normaly sew seeds (inside that is) as there is a huge local nursery which always has just what I want for pence and they do it far better than I could ever hope to - I know takes all the fun out of it.

Last year however they did not have any Asters and I do love them for their late display, so I have broken my rule and sewn some Carousel Mixed. also as thompson & Morgan sent me some free seeds I decided to try the Salpiglossis Casino.

I grow Salpiglossis Casino most years, has an unusual exotic look which catches people's eyes who see it for the first time. I grow about 1,000 as it is used in a couple of large beds on our seafront or parks beds. They are pinched out at 6/9 ins for branching. It is easy but prone to aphid attacks so keep an eye on them later. [IMG]

    LOL!!!!!
    I set about 12

also big thing for me was I bought some jiffy 7 off ebay, I just put two in each pot - I mean this was wild for me, well I live in hope.

as I said I don't do seeds but as I am stuck here half disabled I am willing to have a go, saves me from going out of my tree.

all tips sicerely welcome - Oh and I think I may have got thema bit wet in my enthusiasm???

just sowed a bit more lobelia, antirrhinum and impatiens, to keep plenty of stock going for hanging baskets and containers, and pricked out loads of stuff, from courgettes, via zinnias, scabiosa, stripey aubergines, tomatilloes to eschscholzia and pelargonium! And put up a few more shelves to cope with it all! Good job I'm getting plenty of customers to demand as much as I can supply!! It's a busy greenhouse, even if not quite up to Strongy's scale! You must have known in advance!! You'll probably find the entire staff phone in sick!! If not, they will the day after, with back-ache! ;) I'm so glad I don't work on that scale!
