The staff were getting the bunting out as I was leaving this afternoon, and they will no doubt leave it to me to set them out ... bad back here I come! :( ;)

Did that on tuesday when we were on strike, and junior and I laid new turf on our front lawn. Gardening twice in a week !! not likely , saving my back for tomorrow and the geraniums. :D :D

You definitely need to toughen up! Get on with some real hard work like TLG and me, and loads of others, of course!! I didn't sow anything today, for once - but my ipomoea are shooting up, having only been planted a few days ago! Great big leaves already!
    :D

Very wise then - you have to take it easy at your age, don't you!!! [IMG] And no, they didn't!! But the ipomoea came up incredibly fast! Can't wait to see them in flower. Loads of these are firsts for me, I just stuck to standard basket and container things, and bedding plants up to now, as I didn't have the space, so now I'm really branching out, and doing my first salad and veg crops too. I've learned all about the theory, but the practice is much more interesting, and hopefully more tasty!

Today I planted Gardeners Delight tomato seeds in the propagator ( which is having a break from breadmaking :D ).

Also mesembryanthemum seeds - love them as they make such a colourful border when the sun shines.

And then planted some Giant Pumpkin seeds. Hope they germinate more quickly than those sown last year as I nearly gave up on them. :D

What in the name of the wee man are you doing with 15 tons?
Is it for you or clients?

Last time we used it we got quite a decent crop of mushrooms growing in the GH and garden.

Still a danger of frosty nights here and further snow flurries forecast but I gave in yesterday and sowed some alyssum, sweet pea, rudbeckia, mesembryanthemum, aster and a few Moneymaker toms. Unheated green house and they take their chance but I've still seeds left if its a disaster. I've also sown a new (for me) indoor plant - Gloxinia Blance de Meru

For the sweet peas and toms I'm trying out peat pots this year.
