Do you know Phacelia tanacetifolia, Philomel? It's used as a green manure here, but it is the most beautiful annual with furry blue 'caterpillars', scented and attract bees and butterflies. Pretty foliage, too! It sounds as though you like scented plants....me too! If you'd like to have a go at Ginger lilies (Hedychium) I could post you some rhizomes. They flower well outside here and seem to overwinter without too much fuss.
You'll be busy when the seed parcel arrives:)

Oh my goodness yes, I used to grow Phacelia in the uk and loved it - anything to attract insects and other wildlife. I also had a small collection of Hedychiums but they didn't survive my neglect after we moved.... Do you keep them in pots and move them in overwinter, or in the ground and cover them? You're spoiling me, but I'd love some thanks so much. I'll reimburse postage - or send you something if only I had something you'd like...
Can't wait :) :spinning: :spinning: :spinning:
