selling cars at home

That's good news Rosa, blimey looking at your pics he's not exactly subtle is he. Having big signs like that looks more like he may work in the business, but still shouldn't be clogging up parking spaces with them.

If he's operating illegally, he has a lot of nerve putting those FOR SALE signs in full view for everyone to see (although that's the point I guess!!). Amazed the council haven't slapped loads of parking tickets all over them!

 

Im suprised the cars havent got bumped, scratched etc left parked like that.

hi everyone, yes hes got some nerve doing that on a main road, im very suprised parking attendants havnt seen them all these weeks, well he may just get tickets put on them soon

 

From the pics it is clear he has no regard for his neighbours. I take back what I said about the reasonable approach. I thought we were talking a few cars scattered about the street.

 

We have a neighbour who runs some sort of minor car repair service from his driveway...but its 2 cars at the most, they don't block anyone from getting into their driveways and he keeps a very low profile. This guy is just taking the proverbial. Hope the council have taken notice of you.

 

i live on the opposite side to him but still what hes doing having 6 cars down the street then every so often he moves cars and puts 1 on my side of the street and iff he gets away with it i can honestly see more cars arriving as its gone from 1 to 2 cars and now hes bringing more cars down the street.
i wouldnt like to confront this guy im best doing what ive done calling the council, its after 10 pm and all his cars are still there so dont know when the parking control is arriving, maybe they been to his today but he did go out all day so maybe they couldnt catch him. we shall see will let you know what happens

 

I doubt very much the council will do anything. Just wondering if you saw anyone acting suspiciously around one last night, you know trying to steal one. Maybe the police wouldn't mind having a look, you know crime prevention.

 

lollipop the parking control at the council told me its illegal what hes doing and they were going to look into it, maybe they need pics of evidence themselves, ive not seen anyone acting suspicious cos we are on a main road theres too many people around.
jwk lets hope its sorted pretty quickly as i dont want to be seeing more and more cars arriving as hes been doing this past week

 

update, that guy still has cars outside hes now got a big silver van and parked on my side and both me and my neighbour couldnt get parked outside our front grrrrr, spoke to the manager of the coop and he showed me this guy has cars all over in different streets for sale, he did say it will take a few weeks for parking control to do anything as they gather information.however the manager of coop sees police a lot in the shop so hes going to have a word with them as hes having problems parking his car at times, so see what happens will update of any new events

 

If he has so many cars on the go at once, surely he is making enough profit to go legit and rent himself a big yard somewhere.

 

clueless i honestly dont know what hes making but hes only sold 1 car, these cars he has are not new they are R reg cars or thereabouts, you would of thought he would of got a place than dot all these cars around everyones streets,cant believe hes got the nerve to do this, all for sale signs on each car with his mobile number on them

 

He is obviously not a very astute business man. I for one would never buy a car at 'trader' prices off someone that only gave a mobile number and had no premises. He can only hope to get 'private' sale prices for them, which means unless they are all old wrecks that he managed to get on the cheap, then he can't be making much profit, if any.
