Separate Moan Thread About The Election

The writers are merely reporting academic research, not necessarily their own views. It IS possible for somebody to write impartially, even if they hold strong views themselves. I liked this bit:

Well, I'm feeling just a little optimistic.

I'm just thinking of all the a***holes that I will never have to look at or listen to again. That has to be something to look forward to. No Gove. No Reesmog,Coffey, pink tie, Cleverly, Schnapps, Patel, Braverman, Johnson , Sunak ( soon), Cameron.

Never forget that Rayner is an out and out Corbynista and is only the Labour Deputy leader because the unions demanded it as the price of not ripping the Labour Party apart.

 

Ive voted in every election of every sort in the past 54 years … this is just the second general election where I’m likely to get the result I’ve voted for … I am an eternal optimist. There’s no point in being anything else.

 

I’ve met several politicians including some well-known (in their time) cabinet ministers, and our small family business did regular work for a couple of them. One was exploitative, totally self serving and his moral compass was totally skewed … the others I believe to be fundamentally decent people even though I may disagree with them politically.

 

Yes I think the unions will come to the fore with a labour win, I'm convinced the Doctors dispute will be settled fairly quickly and likewise any disputes still going on with the rail workers.
They have mostly been about government change IMO.
