    Imagine genuinely thinking the party that allowed (and then tried to cover up) the industrial-scale rape of British children isn't the nasty one.

      Not cherry picking your post but unfortunately what you are proposing would never work. The rich can afford the best tax accountants and lawyers, if that didn't work they would leave the UK in droves. Some might welcome that outcome but the sad truth is they power the economy and us at the bottom of the food chain would be much worse off.

        But we are much worse off and the gap is growing exponentially … of such are revolutions made … somewhere down the line it’ll happen or there’ll be a huge financial crash … unless things change …

                  I don't see any signs of that, going by the number of brand new big suvs on the roads, Teslas, Porsches etc. And the number of extensions, new kitchens, garden rooms being put in. Plus the crowds at sports events, entertainment venues, theatres, paying £100+s for entry. And the people flying to exotic holidays, on cruises etc. Expensive restaurants packed out. People with iPhones, expensive tv sports packages, it goes on and on.

                  I know some of us don't live like that but you have to be blind not to see how many people do.

                    Hence my exit tax.

                    A simple tax system would mean accountants and lawyers weren't needed. They would be redundant.

                    It won't happen. The complexity allows tax avoidance to flourish and that benefits the wealthy.

                                But when they do they get slated for taking the profits in dividends.
                                Another thing has been interest rates, until the last 3 yrs they have almost been in minus figures, which is good for borrowing but pretty poor for investors.

                                Where the money for people to borrow came from in those years is mystery to me.
