I won't at the moment as I am on a company PC, but will do later today when back on my own PC as this is something that annoys me massively. Our local community has helped a few folks over the years, one an elderly gent two doors up from me (he has sadly passed now), and more recently a young single mother who literally had no food for her children at Easter time thanks to a DWP screw-up - - many of us have given these folks what is known as a 'dig out' where I come from, often leaving ourselves short or carrying some debt to do so. Meanwhile, our politicians have access to subsidised bars...

To be fair, I don't really have a problem with them having a nice meal and paying for it 'at cost' as many of them are working away from home and their families. I do however have a problem with subsidised vino etc. There are plenty of bars around Westminster and even shops to buy alcohol if that is what they are wanting - but I don't see why we should be picking up the tab for it.

Taking someone out for a meal for a meeting etc on expenses, fair enough as long as it is not excessive and too frequent, but currently it seems that many of them are there simply to extract the urine.

I like this idea! It would be surprising how fast school meals improve!

Signed it, but strongly objected to the 'reaching out' bit about donating. Wasn't the donating that bothered me. Just the 'reaching out'. Get To F(lamborough Head ). :paladin:

I've signed but I dont like being hassled three times to chip in £8.
Makes you wonder what its really about, "Leveling up" or fund raising.

If I was elected President of the U.S. one of the laws I would implement would be a fine on politicians who tell lies.

The fine would be directly related to the higher of how much money/assets they actually own and how much they say they own. :paladin: It would also be commensurate to how big a lie it was.

You wouldn't want me to be Chancellor of the Exchequer in the UK. :nonofinger:

Anybody think the 'attempted assassination' of Trumpton looks deeply suspicious, or have I been reading too many crime thrillers?
Maybe the most suspicious element is that nobody's had a go before now :stirpot:
