Hi Rosa it does look a lovely plant, great photo too. You should take pictures of all the ceramic animals you've got, have you mentioned them in the collections thread?

The pot is very heavy got it at boundary mill, wanted something unusual it is supposed to be for outdoors but works well in the lounge.

Liz i have just mentioned my jugs feel iff i did that would look strange showing all the ornaments will go to town with the xmas pics though

    I am back and I have a 2 foot erection !!!!

Well my gunnera has...not quite good enough to get past my final cut for the 'Nature's Harvest' photo comp this month, but quite an impressive feat of nature to produce such Phallic shaped spires...

So what's happening in BM's Hideout...

...I found a scrawny little sunflower flowering. Not a very big face but a nice surprise none the less...

...The big interest for me this month is the new flowering musa basjoo stem. It benefited from some strong sun rays last week, and will probably show us its yellow bits next month...

...And ever thinking of future 'banana blooms', I notice more 'pups' emerging from the ground. They look tiny against the back drop of their monster mums !!!

Nice to see you again, BM! I love Mother and Pup. Everything's still looking good ... how do you think it will fare over the winter with such new growth in September?

So here is an update on how my garden grows in the middle of September. I have to say I am very pleased with how this year has gone and how green everything is still looking. Now that summer is fading I can see certain changes I want to make for next year as I would like to incorporate more evergreens and less seasonal monsters.

Taken today, on a lovely sunny September late afternoon.and I'm sorry but the lawn isn't going to be cut till the weekend!

In terms of the banana flower, it continues to progress and is showing more of its bulbous shape.

In the next week it will start to move out of the stem as it did two weeks from now last year

The jungle continues to fruit and flower with more passion fruits than I have ever had before. I seem to have passion flowers on all sides of the garden these days and a vast choice from which to photograph
