Thanks. Can I spray the whole garden with red pepper spray? Anytime things start to flower she plucks them off for fun if she can reach. I built a new flower bed and caught her sunbathing on it!
I figured an electric fence might be a bit ott haha

Well Rob, I will have to say, it is about training her. Many folks know here I have huge flower gardens, several of them. And I had GSD's we trained them NOT to go into any garden. And they did not, they respected the borders and would walk around them, never through them. So it is up to you to teach her what you want, remember it is the teacher not her.

You could use "invisible fence". We have that for our dogs; they are "outdoor dogs" (they come in the house in the evening, but basically they are "outdoors" :) ). They stay put in their area and leave the garden alone - more importantly though they don't jump the perimeter fence and terrorise the local farmer's animals or wander onto the main road and cause mayhem, which is the real reason we installed it.

They never go near the perimeter now, so its a form of training / reinforcing the training.

The one we have is called "Innotek"

Easier said than done to be honest! I've had many dogs, but never a Basset Hound, she is so stubborn. I rescued her just over a year ago, shes 2 n a half now, so sadly I missed the 1st year (which was very abusive for her). Making progress, but still difficult at times, she's lucky she's so cute!
