As above I tend to pass over posts with pokey little images.

Now cameras and mobile photos are huge 4100 x 2300 pixels ( 56" x 32" ) for a mobile photo. I understand the images need to be resized to 800 pixels on the longest edge for posting on this forum. This may be a problem for some posters. I just resize my photo in any free photo editor and save to my desktop - then just drag and drop it onto my post .
Just dropped a full size photo in below - does the forum resize them automatically now ?

If that happens I close it immediately. :noidea:

      Agreed :blue thumb:

My camera is set at its lowest resolution of 2048 x 1536 and 1.5mb (easily sufficient if you don't want to print them) and I just drag and drop. So, yes, the forum does resize. :blue thumb:. I seem to remember @Fat Controller saying it does it up to about 2.5mb

Just tried it with full size photos from my compact camera , and they uploaded OK . They were 3.1mb and 4.1mb . So I don't need to resize them now .

The file size limit is 4mb, which allows for a fair old size of a jpeg - anything outwith the size constraints (not sure of the exact dimensions) will be resized by the forum software; anything that is HUGE is likely not to upload at all and will need to be resized before it can be uploaded.

Aye, they were due to be nobbled today - I shut my account, and told them to shove it where the sun don't shine. Should be sorted now. @HarryS - you were maybe still seeing cached images, so you might not see the replacements just yet
