Show Off Your Pets 2021

It is a tough one, but in some ways I think some doggy company would be good for him as he is very 'stuck' to me as I am working from home. He is brilliant with other dogs as long as they are not really big ones, so if we do help them out that will be a stipulation.

If indeed it does happen (although given the number of dogs at the moment, coupled with the fact that I am a softie AND the fact that Mrs C is even more of a softie....) - lots to talk about before we do, not least how we proceed if the foster 'fails' because finding a few hundred quid adoption fee would not be funny either, so I would want all of that thrashed out first.

 

Eyes are wide open on that one - to be fair, we wouldn't necessarily mind another one, but we would have to chew the fat as the adoption fee is a non-starter at the moment. Mind you, being 'on staff' may have a bearing on that too mind. There was one wee dog last month that we were on the verge of saying OK on but thankfully it was adopted last minute. Crazy seeing the number of dogs needing homes.

 

We were and we weren't as we weren't (aren't) actively looking for another one and to be fair we were still very much umming and ahhing about taking in a foster because of all the difficulties mentioned. The dogs are predominantly from abroad, although they do take the odd one from the UK - we are partnered up with Halfway Home in Nottingham who take dogs from all over I believe. They are exceptionally good but also fill up really fast.

Three of circa 25 that are at the 'available' stage, with another five having just been rescued this evening (I am still waiting to see those ones, but they will likely need quite a bit of care before they reach the stage to be ready)
