Lovely cats everyone, couldn't have a cat, hubby is nervous when they jump up on the back of the sofa, when we were courting and I lived with my parents I had a cat and had to leave him with my parents when we married.:frown:
I had a Devon Rex, the coat is short and wavy the colour was a blue grey but can be any colour.

When we lived on the IoW we had Otis, a lovely Ginger Devon Rex next door. He spent most of his time with us and our three cats. :cat-kittyandsmiley::cat-kittyandsmiley::cat-kittyandsmiley::cat-kittyandsmiley:

Not exactly a pet but it should be. My wife leaves rabbit dry food out for it. It has been an almost daily visitor since we moved in last summer.

Apologies Andrea, Merlin and Henry. I just took the names in the order they were sitting. My black babe was called Magic Sam. My ginger (and white) one was Rasputin. I had to chuckle at "fat tiger loaf". :heehee: I call Van Butterball and he responds. :cat-kittyandsmiley:I adore cats.

Until yesterday when I looked the breed up to make sure that I remembered the right one, I didn't know that there were different colours, I just liked the wavy coat.

I believe they are popular because their fur is wolley and people who have allergies to cats can have them. Actually, I may have it wrong, Otis was a Cornish Rex and we called him the Cornish Pastie.

I don't know about that, i saw a picture in a cat book that I bought and that's when I decided to have one. The only thing is that because the coat is very short and with the males can see their private parts.

This is our "other" cat, Kevin. Kevin lives local and has found he is on to a good thing if he sits on our doorstep. Madge is only too keen to feed him. When Mum was alive and stayed here he would wander in and out the house if a door was open but now we have our two house cats he is banished to the great outdoors.

Kevin is beautiful. He reminds me of my Magic Sam (Boo) who moved to Portugal with us when he was five and died here aged 20.

Thank you. I still miss him ... and occasionally speak to him and the others all buried in the lower garden. Saw him first when he was a couple of weeks old. He had a white mother Cairo and four white brothers and sisters. We immediately said we would have him. :cat-kittyandsmiley:

Yesterday two boxer dogs from a house near-by had 'escaped' and chased Bella down the road behind the garden. I couldn't find her for ages, but she was probably hiding somewhere in the hedgerow.
The lady in the house was very apologetic and said there was a gap in the fence which they were at that very moment repairing, and that's how the dogs got out.

I was a bit concerned for Bella because she's not young and has difficulty jumping up to a chair, I have to lift her up now. I wondered if she had injured herself running from the dogs, and I couldn't relax at all.
Anyway she came back after an hour and a half ... what a relief !
Who'd think a cat could cause such anxiety :cat-kittyandsmiley:
