My two would be lapping up the gravy ... but they are not allowed on the table or counters. I do put the plate on the floor though. :rolleyespink:  :cat-kittyandsmiley:

Ours aren't really allowed up there either. OH had just got up to start clearing the plates away and she jumped up onto his chair for a look at what was on the table. She's the nosiest cat I ever met, has to have a look into everything.

Bella nor any other cat has ever tried to jump on the table or counters, but I have a friend whose cats do it all the time. In fact she even puts a cat-bed on the table for them. I wouldn't like that at all, and maybe the cats have been able to sense it, they are very intuitive animals.

Fully agree with that. When growing up there was a family friend who allowed their cat free access to the kitchen surfaces and the table; there was alwys one or more of them with an upset stomach and regular doses of kaolin and morphine were administered.
It was the one thing they did my mother disapproved.
On the positive side their mincepies looked disgusting but had the crumbliest nicest pastry going.
In contrast to an Aunt who made beautiful mincepies that almost broke your teeth.

In Bucks our next door neighbour not only permitted it, she had their food bows on the counter! :yikes:
