Before I went away I had to have Sage put to sleep as she was going downhill very rapidly and over the space of a few days even standing up became a struggle. Despite having reached a good age (21 years) I'm still rather peed off about it but I have some nice Salvia coming along to mark where I 'planted' her.
Here she is enjoying the summer sun...................

Wow that was some age @longk . Not surprised in the slightest that you are "peed off". She was part of your family for so long:grphg:. Likewise we had to have our wee cat put down for what sounds like very similar reasons nearly 2 years ago. Last Spring we took the plunge and got 2 new kittens...been mayhem ever since:), but they haven't replaced little Zena and she certainly hasn't been forgotten.

@longk, I'm so sorry to read about your loss :grphg:. Sage was certainly a very good looking Cat, her coat is shining in the sun light & she looks very content in the photo.
Treasure all your wonderful memories of Sage.
You are very much in my thoughts :grphg: xx

That is probably the hardest part of it. Still weird when I walk through the door and she's not there.

They're never replaced. I'm looking at a dog now if the Bangladesh thing doesn't happen.

Thanks both. She was certainly happy in her role of mistress of all she surveyed!

Since moving in to my house in the first year I lost my faithful cat and a rabbit, small pets but sadly missed as all pets will be.
Sometimes they are such a loss that grief lasts for many a month, like the good people on our planet
