Just to help the balance a bit - here is Sarafi. He's not our pet (lives four doors away) but thinks he owns us. He's not allowed indoors (doesn't stop him trying) but spends most of the day sleeping in the greenhouse or on an executive chair under the covered pergola.

He regularly demands food and occasionally gets a few scraps. He always turns up on the back doorstep if I'm cooking chicken soup as his favourite food is a chicken wing.

The pheasants are a bit wary of him whereas they were always happy to be around Oscar the cat when he was alive. Oscar used to let the chicks play with him.

image.jpeg We have one of those. She is particularly partial to suitcases. It is a bad idea to leave a freshly packed suitcase lying open on the bed.

IMG_0752.JPG Hi again, everyone- Polly (the springer) has become a semi-permanent member of the morning walk pack, as m-I-l fell on Saturday and broke her arm, compression fracture. It'll be ages before she's fit to drive or walk Polly, so it's a good job Polly is used to us....

Springer Spaniels seem to be in vogue at the moment. There are several around the village. They are lovely dog but far too boisterous for us. Our King Charles does us just fine.

Hi, Jack Sparrow, lots of springers round here, mostly liver and white, like Polly, and mostly small working stick, again, like Polly. They've been popular here for a long time, along with labradors, collies, and border terriers! Now we're seeming loads of mixtures like Labradoodles and Cockapoos!

Around here we get cockapoos, springers, collies and of course goldies. There's a couple who breed goldies, but their light in colour.

I frequently meet a cockapoo (Charlie) - so full of energy, even more than a cocker without the poodle! Rosie is a doodle, and frequently goes completely mad, rushing around like crazy, and liable to knock things and people flying..... don't you just love dogs?

Just been wondering about other pets we may have. I'm sure if I read back from the start I might find out, but...... it's rather a long thread;)
We have a border collie, guinea pigs and corn snakes ( by far the easiest to look after)
I lost my cats in recent years, still miss them, and we used to keep tropical fish until not long back.
So anyone else? I know there's a member who has the cutest rabbits :wub2:( we had a rabbit too, briefly, it escaped :rolleyespink:)
                    Care to share?

When the boys were young we had guinea pigs, gerbils, rabbits, rats, a cockatiel as well as a dog and cat who were best friends ;). We didn't have them all at the same time though!

@Loki nothing that exciting here I'm afraid. Two dogs, two cats and whatever the cat drags in.
