    Chaenomeles 'Geisha Girl'.

The flowers are small about 1 1/2in, I'm hoping they'll be a little bigger when the plant matures.

The package was never delivered. I'm now informed that the package is lost.
Having been told it would arrive by 24/3, I was then re-informed that it would arrive by 27/3, so not to contact seller until after that.
Now I contact, I m informed that I cannot claim a refund because it is more than 48 hours after the due delivery date.

      Don't buy anything from PERFECT2TRADE.

I would push on that, @Fourmerkland. If you still have the notification of the delay, send them that as evidence you are within the 48 hrs. Make a real nuisance of yourself. :th scifD36:

How did you pay? Paypal should give you a refund or you could do a bank chargeback.

I wish to complain about this thread, after reading it I was tempted onto Farmer Gracys website and forced to purchase many bargains and of course I won’t pay postage so I am now £50 poorer! You are all extremely naughty.

My order of 2 Clematis arrived yesterday from Thorncroft Clematis. They look like nice, healthy plants with several stems. They were grown under glass so need to be hardened off for 2-3 weeks which seemed a lot to me but I'll follow their instructions :).

I used to have an H F Young, @Plantminded. Absolutely beautiful plant, covered in huge blooms for a month or so in spring. :blue thumb:

it's a pain. Did you comment on trustpilot? I just found they have many bad reviews.

I have pressed the issue today, despite today being a family birthday (not mine). This evening I received advice from Amazon that my funds will be returned. That is something I will have to wait a week for. Words are one thing. They will be judged on their actions.

Yesterday I took delivery of this tiny little GTech cordless mower. It weighs less than 4kg! I've got a push mower that works great on the front lawn, but the grass at the back has different ideas and tends to just bend in front of it.This little mower copes fine. I just gave it the challenge of sorting out the very long grass that had grown under my cold frame - I was losing plants in there. No problem at all.

My back lawn is looking very green at the moment but it's mostly celandine! I expect a lot of bare patches once they go.

That looks very nifty, @Escarpment. :blue thumb:

@Fourmerkland, excellent news. I’d be surprised if Amazon does not stump up as promised … and hopefully they will deal with the seller, given this is clearly not a one-off instance. :fingers crossed:

That’s good to know @ViewAhead, thank you :). Did yours give a second flush of flowers in late summer/early autumn? The description at Thorncroft says it should. I’ve only grown group 3 Clematis before.

We only popped down to the garden centre for some compost. Talk about kids in a sweetshop, we came home with a rambling rose (Ghislaine de Féligonde), a huge pot of Verbena bonariensis, 3 Lupins (Gallery Red, Blue & White), Geum 'Scarlet Tempest' & a strawberry plant.

But in my defence this is no ordinary garden centre. Prestbury Plant & Garden is one of those old-fashioned well-stocked nurseries with no garden-centre pretences. Considering it's situated on the edge of the Cheshire triangle, where the rich & famous make their home, it's prices are so damned reasonable and their range is surprisingly wide (even if you do have to search around a lot). My rose was just £18. I saw it in another local GC (dressed in David Austin clothes) for £33 and looking less healthy.

It didn’t. It was in a pot, albeit a large one. Maybe in the ground it might have.

It was one of the first plants I ever bought and I had it outside the front of my house. Passers-by used to stop and comment on how lovely it was. :)

@LunarSea, is that the one near to Macclesfield? My favourite local garden centre.
