This is the poinsettia I bought from Tesco in December. I usually struggle to keep them going beyond June. This year it`s so far - so good, and I`m wondering if anyone knows if the new bracts will turn red - or what is required to help them ??

Poinsettias rely on day length for the bracts to turn red.
Shorter days will make it bud up and red bracts form.

          Looks really healthy.

Dont leave it in a room that is lit in the evening, you probably know that, but just thought I'd mention.

Sorry for extra late reply. Wow the market seems to be flooded with orchids now and quite cheap. Have to admit, never until now have they interested me.
Back in 1960 I had RHS Fellow friend in Lucern, he'd been after a certain orchid bulb. I contacted many nurseries etc across the world, no luck. Then I got a call from a Mr. D'eath of Dobies. He could help me out. Days later a parcel arrived, a box about 4"x4"x4". I had to ipen the box and see what I'd spent my money on. At the time I was a london traffic cop weekly wage around £17.00 The box was filled with sawdust and eventually I found the bulb. It wasn't much larger than a garden pea. I posted it on to Pierre. He was so grateful, he and his wife sent Val and I a beautiful baby girl's outfit for our first daughter.
In my horticultural and scientific research I have since learned that. The genarally known family with all it's additonal genera is estimated to be the worlds largest family of plants
