Mine is in bloom now as well. It's a sorry specimen I impulse bought from Aldi a few years back- it hasn't grown at all which is not surprising seen how badly I treat it. It often gets waterlogged as I can't reach the soil to check, or dries out completely. Once it nearly froze when I forgot it out in autumn. I always resolve to get rid of it and the this happens:


Orchids are roaring, the Dendrobium is now doing a second round on the stems that already flowered a month ago which is a bit odd. The small Phalaenopsis thinks it will be as big as the large version if it tries really hard:

 

Phalaenopsis commonly known as the Moth Orchid. Very easy to look after @wiseowl , I have a few and I only water them once every two weeks. I run water through the compost briefly and leave to drain. They should never stand in water! Once the original flowers fade and drop which could be after a couple of months (they last that long) it may branch out again. If not it may (or may not) have a rest and and flower again. Keep it in a well lit position away from drafts and radiators and it should do well.

 

Hi @wiseowl I normally prune back the flowering stem (after all the flowers have finished) to a node (as for roses!) You can see them as papery sheaths surrounding the flower stem. That way it is easy to see the new flowering stem form. And it's worth adding a bit of standard feed (nothing special) to the water.

 

I’m not sure if this counts, as this is only a houseplant during the winter months, but here is our lemon tree. We brought it inside at the beginning of November, and it has been covered in flowers for the past 4-5 weeks. The scent is almost overpowering!

 

The Phalaenopsis are still going strong, and the Dendrobium is doing round two. It's a bit odd that it decided to re-flower on the old stems that flowered in October, rather than on younger stems. But, as you please, Madam... the flowers are lovely.

 

I see you are letting your Phalaenopsis flower stems hang naturally instead of held upright by canes the way they are grown for convenient transportation.
