@strongylodon My B nutens has gone absolutely beserk here outside and have given carrier bags (seriously) of it away. I now have all three wall planters on the lane filled with it (probably 30 feet plus total) and troughs and pots of it plus a huge clump thrown in the rockery.

I have found this supplier ...

    madeiraexotics33 on eBay

I have ordered a Callissa fragrans and have a list of others I want. As I have not used them before I am starting off small.

      Hi,

Just thought we would add pics of our houseplants in the making, all but the last one started from plug plants just a couple of months ago.
Been raising them in the greenhouse but now a decent size starting to move them into the house, if we can find enough space for them all !

Have to say these Streptocarpus seem so eager to grow and flower, we have seen little to compete against them.

Took some leaf cuttings which have finally sprouted after 2 months and from two that we have had a couple of years, been able to take crown divisions and both have survived and both already in flower.

@ricky101 I used to have the pale blue and yellow one, I think the series all had girls names.

The Plumeria has finally opened out and is the peach coloured variety although not much scent. Still I am amazed it has flowered so small at four feet high.

Stapelia variegata (now Orbea) this is the most reliable and least fussy of the ones I have.

Like the Plumeria @strongylodon , do you think maybe the highly scented thing might be a bit overdone regarding Plumeria?

I think where I have noticed the scent has been abroad where there have been whole shrubs in flower, you have to virtually stick your nose in it to smell anything.
You can't see any stamens or anthers so I guess in the wild they are pollinated by either moths or butterflies with a long proboscis.

Could it be they need more heat to bring out the scent, or is the scent a night time thing?

Aloe Aristata has done it again. The ugliest flowers ever are appearing all over the plant, snaking their way into the blinds and dropping sticky nectar all over the place. I must admit the plant has character. ;)

                      Tree basil Ocimum gratissimum

This little darling is about to reach the ceiling soon. The flowers are not very showy but the plant is fun. Well worth the £1.90 bag of seeds

I wish I could figure out how to focus with this stupid phone camera.

                        Frangipani still has some flowers.

So does the dark flowered Justica (from Nairobi), unlike the common shrimp plant it's flowers stay upright.

Fishbone Epiphyllum Anguliger has its first flower. Quite delicate, pale colour and the flower is big, fist size. Very nice surprise on a murky Sunday morning :)
