Ok, I'll assume I'm probably wrong it's just difficult to tell where the flowers are coming from.
Mine are doing better after you suggested more of a sunny spot in summer, I used to keep them fairly shaded.

Thank you @Michael Hewett i hardly do anything to it, it doesn't get much water and i don't feed it. It's been in that pot for many years. It was in the kitchen until 2 years ago but there wasn't enough light for it to flower so i moved it into the conservatory and i don't put it outside in the summer.

Like @Logan I kept my Christmas & Easter Cacti for many years with little care though I did feed mine with tomato fertilizer during the summer months. Again they spent years in the same small pots. I got many cutting to root last year but whatever I do they don't seem to like it any longer! I have perhaps 2 that are struggling to exist still even though I was able to keep plants alive for years. I seem to be losing my green fingers with the pass of the years & now that I'm in the autumn of my life.

@Balc perhaps you're doing something different with your Christmas cactus cuttings. Lovely hyacinths your room must be full of their scent.

My aspidistra elatior has just flowered for the first time! I had to look the two flowers up, to be sure that was what they were. I'd call them curious, rather than beautiful - apparently they always grow at soil level, to allow pollination by fungus gnats:

I was once told that they are pollinated by slugs, but gnats does sound more likely.

Mine used to flower every year but hasn't done so recently, probably needs fresh compost.
Yes they are curious things aren't they ...

As I've never grown this plant I can't comment but it would seem much more likely they are pollinated by gnats rather than slugs!

Nothing spectacular but a few pictures.

Is that purple orchid scented? @pete? I found out recently that there's a purple Phalaenopsis with some perfume, after thinking for years that Miltonia was the only widely-available scented orchid

Not noticed any scent, the flowers are quite small.
