    My Strelitzia reginae is in bloom in the living room. Two flower spikes have emerged so far.

      I've had a good couple of days!
      Here is Hippeastrum cybister "Chico" in bloom................

      It was frozen solid in the cold spell before christmas, at which point I bought it into the front room. Almost immediately it started to put out a flower stem!

        which opened yesterday , unfortunately the flower is behind the leaves so I had to hold it to get a good view.

          The Nianiamensies had a month's rest and then another flock of parrots have moved in. Even taking up occupation on the lower branches now,

            I used to have one of those, grew like crazy then just collapsed over night!

                I Googled seeds ... first thing that came up was Strange Wonderful Things, I know I don't have to look further and will never be able to afford seeds, anything they sell on eBay sells for a Mint! They sell some mouthwatering stuff though ...
