I won't shoe you mine. He's a prayer plant that I named Deuteronomy. I dont think he likes the name because he usually only waves one leaf at me come sunset.:heehee:

My other half's Christmas cactus has already flowered and finished, it was a pink type and was covered in flowers.

Thanks Redstar - Billbergia nutans is the full name. I seen pictures of the plant before, but had no idea of the name having never grown it myself.

If you were closer I'd give you a hunk in the spring, as its in bloom now don't want to disturb it. I have someone for a hunk this spring, it needs splitting again. I think this time I will be assertive and totally half it out to her.

LongK - that's very kind, but I will pass if you don't mind. I don't have much space and I have to sort out exactly what I do want to fill it with. However that doesn't dim my interest in anything unusual - well unusual for me. :dbgrtmb:

Hippeastrum hybrid. Supposed to be a double but the flowers are nowhere near as attractive as on the box. Got another couple given to me as Christmas presents that I'm waiting to pot up as well.

Yellow Clivia. This had been abandoned this year and suffered damage in the garden. It's since been lurking in our spare room but I didn't notice it was in flower until today.
