It is one of the most shino sites that I've seen if you want to buy! My initial google for Kohleria warszewiczii gave me no idea that they did it, so I'm assuming that a PDF catalogue offers Google no detailed "hit" info beyond the PDF itself being looked at..............
On the plus side, I can at least make a telephone order.

Dunno the answer really, they wouldn't get change for £10K for a half decent system, more likely cost would be £20K, maybe they don't want to spend that. Looks like they are using Actinic, which at the time was probably about £500 off-the-shelf purchase and someone has thrown together the front end for it. They are probably using an old version of Actinic where they have to set everything up offline in Access and then upload it which, in todays market, is a really hideous way of having to manage a site, and I very much doubt that it gives them much/any flexibility for things like "mail when in stock" and the like.

Dibleys have uploaded the 2012 catalogue with the same name as previous catalogues - i.e. "cat1.pdf" - Google has cached an old one (2010 as it happens) with the exact same filename. Presumably there has been nothing to alert Google that this document may have changed (bit unusual, but not impossible).

That in itself shouldn't matter, as the old catalogue would be indexed by Google, but for some reason the catalogue Google has cached is only the first 12 pages - perhaps the initial upload to the site only had the first half :(

That part doesn't include the Gesneriads section, and doesn't mention the word "Kohleria" ... so game-over for any prospective customers looking for them (although with luck they will now find this thread and thereby Dibley's site ... assuming they can be bothered to phone when they can't actually order online ...)

I expect Dibley's spelling of "Kohleria warscewieczii" doesn't help.

Your order is probably in a queue of one, so you should have it already!

Probably one of the least impressive flower spikes and I don't think it actually sets flowers, I've not seen it do so on this spike or previous ones.

That is pretty much the long and short of it with Chamaedorea Sheal. OH had one which was mature and looked great.

This one has never bloomed brilliantly, but it has doubled in size since the house move. The flowers have also taken on a far more pink hue to them this year. The trick (apparently) to blooming them well is keeping them extra dry through October and early November. I'm clearly not doing that bit well!

                Nice cactus flowers longk.:)

I dont actually have any of these these days but I found the secret to good flowering was to put them outside, in the shade, from May till late October.
Then bring them inside to warmer conditions, it used to work for me.

                    They always croak on me!!!

First of the Ludisia blooms has opened.................
                    DSC_0134.jpg

The blooms are incidental to most people, although I personally like them, as Ludisia is really grown for the foliage.................
                    DSC_0137.jpg

Although there is only the one (I believe) species of Ludisia, there are many cultivars - this one is called Jade Velvet.
Probably the easiest orchid to grow. It grows in ordinary compost, is ideally suited to house temperatures, and prefers lower light levels. Multiplies freely from spreading roots, and stem cuttings strike with near 100% reliability.
