But there's something about Alibaba-shaped pots, isn't there? I splashed out on a couple of matching Whichford ones many years ago. Found two big, plastic pots that just fit inside them, either with saucers inside or under the clay pots. It's worked well so far.....

They're looking very healthy plants @Nikolaos they look better condition than mine or just further on , I've had plants off Dorest perennials before its where quite a lot of my original perennials come from.

Its going to be a scrap with the rose when it need replanting, I had a fight with an Agapanthus a few weeks ago I had hole punch out ( push it out from underneath )and all sorts to get it out, I did get out out eventually after hammering a trowel in all around the pot.

The rose turned up today for the pot - Desdemona :)

I like White Roses, there's something so clean and bright about them, but I'm not really a fan of Pink Roses. R.Desdemona is a really nice, repeat flowering, strong scented rose......cracking choice.:love30::thumbsup:

It does look nice on the pictures I haven't got a white rose got most of the other colours but for a purple / dark maroon would like munstead wood . Hopefully it is white and not pink , it sounds like almost the perfect rose when you list them off.

Oh I totally agree, what a nightmare to get any plants out and surely it will blow over. But don't worry @Perki , I'll take it off your hands so that you can have some peace of mind. Just pm me and I'll let you know my address. It's no bother at all, happy to help! [IMG]

In Wales, garden centres only reopened on Monday 22nd. So I was straight down to my favourite nursery (Farmyard Plants) but managed to control myself:
                  Cornus Midwinter Fire
A good pink hellebore (from their own breeding program)
                  Grevillea Clear View David
                  Primrose Guernsey Cream (double)
                  Primrose Marie Crousse (old double)
                  Scabious Fama Blue
                  Moraea huttonii
                  Lilium lancifolium var flaviflorum
                  Tulbaghia violacea

68DA2701-F320-4D9A-AB0C-3E4E9637B6BF.jpeg I took delivery of theses today. 1EB21404-7EFA-441E-9EDB-B48C1E80BF0E.jpeg

I am trying not to replace my flimsy module tray with other flimsy ones. These are injection moulded with a big hole in the bottom, so that the plants can be easily pushed out. They look and feel really good and are half seed tray size. 10 for £15 delivered. More expensive, but should last a while. The ones I got last year are already falling to bits and will need to be binned.

Went to Giga Garden Center today (biggest on the Iberian Peninsula) and got two unusual pots and six plants ... a gorgeous double ruffled red Hibiscus (I did say I wouldn't buy any more, doh), a red Alstroemeria (didn't have any other colours), a Fuchsia, a Mandevillea and two pink trailing Geraniums. Was really cloudy when we came home so they are just lined up out front. Will photograph as and when.

I got them from Cross Common Nursery @pete . They come at a price but I've been after a Leucospermum for a year so don't mind the outlay .
