I bought a stick yesterday. Actually, it's more of a twig. It came from the pound shop so guess how much it cost? Wrong, it was two quid!
      Apparently, it's a raspberry cane

Nice galanthus @NigelJ . I am trying to stop buying any more varieties - I've got 8 or 10 I think - surely enough...

You'd both love our local gardening club meeting next Friday...a talk about and sales of ...snowdrops  With prices starting at €8 per bulb, though, it'll be strictly 'look and don't touch (or buy)'.

I'm in a similar position, the ones I've got recently are distinctly different to those I have already.

@noisette47 - ouch! I have seen some very silly prices online, for snowdrops that are not that different. I'm going to visit a specialist garden for them in next couple of weeks. They have some for sale - priced between £3.50 and £7, but usually multiple bulbs per pot. I must resist...

Bought some double begonia tubers today. I'll start them off next month and prop the first dozen stems or so to increase stock, then do some leaf cuttings later in the year

Went to Morrison's in order to buy matchsticks to fight the gnat/ fruitfly pestilence that is soon to start with all the seed sowing going on.

In the end I didn't get matches.
