Its got some buds, but the label suggested dark red, I hope.
But as usual with this kind of stuff it said they come in pink white and red

The last ones I have tried ended up with some strange black stem disease, never quite worked out what it was, but it killed them.
There are some big ones around here, so I'm guessing that there must be hardy stock.
Just don't like knocking on doors and asking for cuttings.

I think they are one of those “ hit and miss” outside of their more natural southern climates. In the south of France and Spain I have seen them grow huge, here in northern France they always seem to be smaller and get a bit of leaf damage in the winter…. Yet in a couple of gardens around me they seem to thrive, even if they never reach the height they do down south. I would think it’s a lot to do with drainage and shelter.

Last week's purchases (3 for £12, not too bad these days). I'll plant the pulmonaria as soon as I decide where I want it, but the other two I think need growing on a bit.

@Michael Hewett, would you mind if I asked where you bought the Sempervivum - I've been wanting one of those for ages and that looks a lovely plant?

More practical than fun, but 4 ft garden stakes, £3 each. I am messily dipping them in Hammerite before I use them. IMG-20240320-WA0001.jpeg

Thank you. I bought it in Farmyard Nurseries in Carmarthen
                Our Nursery - Farmyard Nurseries
Although their main nursery is in Llandysul, several miles from the town of Carmarthen, they have a small place behind the market in the town, and I visit there every time I go to Carmarthen ...
I think they've got a big magnet hidden inside their shop and it pulls me towards it every time I go there !

And today's purchase ... White Muscari

Thank you @Michael Hewett, unfortunately that's a bit too far to go for me, and they don't seem to have it on their website.
I've been to 2 local GCs today and couldn't find one, but I did get a Semp. Silver Suede which is pretty.

I have found it but it is out of stock
                    Sempervivum | Farmyard Nurseries
I could send you one of the offsets if you like.

@Michael Hewett that's a very kind offer, thank you, I would love that.
I did actually order one from Garden Express last year but when it arrived it was upside down in the box and had fallen out of the pot and disintegrated. I tried to put up the bits but it didn't survive. Probably not helped by all the rain last year. And when I contacted Garden Express I never got a reply.

I'll take one or two of the side shoots off and post them to you. Tell me your address in a private message and I'll send them next week.

Impulse buy in the supermarket yesterday - lovely Dracaena houseplant.

And a couple of weeks ago my wife came back from Home Bargains with this for 19p!! Well it was virtually dead, but a bit of TLC and it's now rather nice.
