Lovely to see that you mention Farmyard Nurseries @Michael Hewett it is a bit of a magnet to me too over the past few years, both in Carmarthen and at their main headquarters. Great selection of well grown plants but I am going to restrict the temptation this year a bit unless I plough up part of one of our fields to create more garden. Hummmm now there's a thought!

 

Ordered 4 cuttings of Aptenia / Mesembryanthemum cordifolium Yellow from Italy (and they are on their way) ...


I have Pink and Purple and variegated leafed but have never seen Yellow before.

 

A little Easter treat! I do find osteospermums appealing and I've never had a yellow one before.

 

I succumbed to an Osteospermum too! First one I've bought. It looks so pretty beside the Erysimum I think I'm going to have to put them together when I finally get around to planting them out.

 

I bought two blackcurrant in Lidl. It wasn't in plan, but price for one is only 2€/1.7₤. Sadly, only those two was left.

I've been collecting fuchsias from Morrisons this week. £1.30 each, lots of different varieties. Wondering if it will ever stop raining long enough to plant them out.

 

The white muscaris are nice and not as keen on world domination as the blue ones. I have a nice little clump that's gradually spreading after a few years of being planted out. Just growing away nicely now
I haven't bought much recently [honest guv...] but I did get some new dahlias and a few lilies. It's almost impossible to keep dahlias over winter here unless you can get them really wel ldried off and they have to be in the house as the gr'house isn't warm enough. I had D. Verrone's Obsidian last year, so I've replaced that, and also got D. Jaxon, with D. Soulman to follow. The lily is L. Henryi - not a type I've grown before, so looking forward to seeing that.

 

I bought a pie maker and I think I might like it. I made apple pies.

It counts if you use it to make pies from your garden produce. And bring some in here for us to try

 

Can you make rosemary and bayleaf pie? Nothing else edible in the garden at the moment.
