        A gentleman's got a walking stick.
        A seaman's got a gaff.
And the merry men of Robin Hood
        They used a quarterstaff.
On the Spanish plains inside their canes
        They hide their ruddy swords.
But we make do with an old bam-boo
        And everyone applauds!
        1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - Hey!
Me ol' bam-boo, me ol' bam-boo
You'd better never bother with me ol' bam-boo.
You can have me hat or me bum-ber-shoo
But you'd better never bother with me ol' bam-boo.

Dunno TBH, all different varieties by the looks of it - that one looks like a runner though, so might be Pseudosasa

Good god wonder what your rear suspension is like? About as bad as me carrying half an Aga in the back of my car. Fantastic when trying to drive on icy roads BUT I ruined the suspension which cost to fix about the same as what I'd saved buying a 2nd hand Aga which wasn't quite so clever:)

No pics, but Poundland has Gloriosa rothschildiana tubers at the usual price. Pick with care and you'll get a perfectly healthy and good sized tuber. I grabbed a couple.
