Some nice looking Black Boo divisions you have got there Kristen. Wish I had somewhere I could go and get divisions here in North Wales lol

 

50p - from a Table-Top Sale - an old pair of Rolcut secateurs - a bit scruffy and the rivet holding the spring had gone - but half an hour on my workbench and they are (almost) as good as new - The blade and anvil are in very good condition for their age, probably from the 1970's - should be good for another forty years now.

I just bought a viburnum and a caenothus repens for £3. Any idea when I should plant them please?

 

There's no reason why you can't plant them now nFrost. If you have any high winds check them for wind rock and if necessary put a couple of strong canes either side of them to keep them steady.

 

Thanks Sheal, there only 1 foot tall so should be okay against the fence without a stake (I think!).

I got 2 pink speckled hellebores from wyevale yesterday, should have been 12.99 each but had 75% off then I had a voucher so cost me 4.50 for both. Will post a pic tomorrow. :-)

 

Vriesia, one of many cultivars now knocked out cheaply by the big sheds all grown by tissue culture.


Haworthia, not sure of this one but nice pattern and only £1.25


Another cheapy but as expected, bud drop after a day or two left it with just a few flowers but more tiny buds are showing, may be a better display next year.
