Keith, I had to Google it as I bought it assuming it was a type of Aloe aristata.

 

I only asked as it looks to have spiney edges to the leaves which I hadn't associated with Haworthia. Intergeneric cross maybe? But I am still learning.
I was also tempted by some A.aristata on Christmas Eve at 50p each.

 

First seeds arrived for 2015 sowing, from a friend in Texas.

Not sure how if a lot of these are hardy in Cheshire but worth a gamble

 

From my experience as follows...............

Depends on the species. D.wrightii survived in the ground 2013/14.

No idea, but that is a gem!

I grow this in a pot for a couple of years. Not really hardy but ok shoved in the shed and forgot about for the winter. Best grown with its feet wet.

Never grown it, but remember your friends

I lost mine last winter having been led to believe that it was reasonably hardy. It is a bit of a gem.

Germinate yours first if that is all that you have. They can be a little tricky as small seedlings.

My first plant purchase of the year - a half standard Syringa vulgaris Sensation. I'd been after one for a while and was watching the mailordertrees website but they only had the bushes. I emailed them and it turned out that they had some bare root H/S so they added them to the website so I could order

I'm going to have to have a big clearout of plants this year.
