                I treated myself to one of these fellows today - - from the middle of the lawn, it seems to be able to hit almost all of the lawn and all of the borders which saves me having to go out and reposition a sprinkler half a dozen times an evening. And this evening, we have treated ourselves to a vacuum food sealer - this one to be exact. Last year, quite a bit of stuff got wasted for want of an easy way to store it, so the thinking is that our fruit, veggies and herbs can all be vacuum sealed and frozen for use through the winter. If anyone has one, I would welcome any tips.

                We are thinking of freezing carrots, parsnips, cauliflower (can we do garlic?), leeks, tomatoes, coriander, thyme, basil, and maybe fruits such as plums, raspberries, loganberries, blackberries, blackcurrants and gooseberries - admittedly, the chances of fruits this year is slim as it is year one for all the plants. And there is of course the possibility of using our elderberries this year (although I am thinking jam....?)

                And of course, we can hopefully take advantage of those silly deals on meats etc when we see them - those huge joints that will easily break into three or four portions; much better to have them vac sealed than just plain old cling film

                  Took a trip to Urban Jungle Norwich yesterday and came away with this lobelia tupa. Didn't really go with the intention if buying one, I just had a gap and after much indecision spotted this. I do like big plants in my small garden!

                  Popped somw slug pellets down. Not sure if the snails like Lobelia Tupa, but there are so many about this year that I ain't taking risks.

                              She dips her fingers in Red Wine or Gin, Sheal. If they drop off she uses Instant Glue and then crosses her fingers, unless they drop off again.:hate-shocked::heehee:
