I ordered three hydrangea Paniculata 'Vanille Fraise' to grow in a row behind the low hedge bordering the road. The effect will be a low hedge with the hydrangea overhanging, bit like this but with these overhanging.

I also ordered another hydrangea Paniculata 'Grandiflora' to grow in a south facing border by the garage. Ordered a 5L but they emailed to say they only had 3L in stock, so they are sending me two of those for the same price. Just got to find another spot for the other one - sure it'll squeeze in somewhere or else I'll donate it to a good home.

              Here's my new toy! :)

An early birthday present from Mrs Trunky, it's a Vitopod heated propagator. It's a good one too, with a digital thermostat, temperature probe and nice big vents in the top & sides.

Not much in there at the moment, just assembled it and plugged it in to make sure it's working ok, (it is).

It's 55cm x 56cm and 24cm in depth, Lori. You can buy extra layers to increase the height too. :)

Interesting. We don't have heated propagators here - at least that I know of and I don't know why we don't. We have the tray and vented covers and then we put a heat mat under them. I too am getting ready for the cool weather - even though we are just starting summer- at least I hope we do soon!

Our trays are called 1020 trays because they are 10" wide and 20" long. I have many of these plus now I have domes to cover 11 trays, six of which have hygrometers. This is what ours look like. Very similar - however we have to add heat. Shame we don't have all in one but I did buy heat mats and two of them are 24" x 48"

                        Hi Linz,

It's a Bergenia, excellent ground cover cover plant that has stems of pink or white flowers in Spring.

PS.... Where is this sale rack :)

Took the long route home from the polling station yesterday and made a rare visit to a Wyevale garden centre.

Bought this planted pot for £5 (reduced from £19.99) worth it for the pot alone.

And then Mr "M" popped this in the trolley while I was on a Bronze Fennel hunt (which I failed in  ). Another £5 bargain, reduced from ... £26.99!!!! :thud:
