I went to Crews Hill 2 weekends ago - looking for something for the new raised sleeper beds I am putting in.
Came home with 3 Trachycarpus with stems of about a meter.

Planted out my newly purchased lavendars.....perfect timing because it is now raining :)
My eyes wandered everywhere whilst in the nursery.....large, comprehensive and stocking some unusual and tender plants.......but I was (temporarily) strong willed :snorky:. However, a few things have preoccupied me now so I will go back in a day or two.

He is! I have another one (different shaped stone) and I thought they could be friends. When I eventually get my pebble fountain plumbed in ( "if" ) they will sit there and enjoy the spray :blue thumb: If I ever find a third, it will complete the set.

@Verdun come this weekend I hope to have our grasses put out front :fingers crossed: crossed for good weather...I sat today and combed every one and gave them a neat haircut, as I got the other half to purchase a comb with wide heads on them, as I've had them out side adjusting to the weather and the pampas grasses have been put in large pots with a level of gravel at the bottom in multi purpose soil and two have been put in each pot but separated with gravel on top...so they can establish themselves before the conifer comes out in april/may :)

Hi @Verdun the weather this morning was currently all over the shower besides it trying to snow and I said to my hubby leave well alone now, if they fail they fail...same for the camellia because they need to adjust if our climate is changing :)

You are right to leave the garden alone then for the time being:)

Big lemon trees in Aldi only £14.99 each. Then went and got a nice pot for £20 from garden centre. Will pot up and put in conservatory :)

After a while i got used to it. But the hardest one to get used to is,putting it in a casserole. I do a lot of fried red onions and put it in that and garlic.
