    Nepeta snowflake. I mail ordered this one. It cost me £10 + £5 postage. All the nepeta I have seen locally are blue. I fancied something different. The write up said it flowers from May until frost. If it does what is says on the tin I will consider it money well spent. You can see its already a hit with Kitty. I have put it in that pot so I can monitor its growth habit. In the autumn I hope to split it and plant the bits roughly where the pot is now.

        @Jack Sparrow

        Just to emphasise what @Verdun has said, don't plant crocosmia under any other plant. It's lovely but invasive and you're likely to lose anything you plant on top of it.

        Just to give you an idea of how invasive it is "since 2010 it has been listed in Schedule 9 of The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, so that under Section 14 it is illegal to plant or otherwise cause it to grow in the wild".

            A cheesy photo I know. I have already put it in the shed. It's a bit flimsy and not particularly powerful but it should be all I need. It was double discount from a discount warehouse. For £9.99 I'm not going to grumble.

                    Spent the weekend putting this up with lots of help from eldest son.

                        Thanks @Perki.

                        I am prepared with shade netting (and fleece if needed, like last night) as I believe they overheat easily and it faces south. I work full time which could be a problem but my younger son comes home for his lunch from work most days so he can expect lots of text messages to check things ..... but those are his peppers on the top shelf :biggrin:

                              Lovely. Anything under clear/translucent cover is wonderful to extend your season. You have the added bonus that the heat that gathers within the brick wall during the day, will be released at night. A wee bit of a free heater!

                              Enjoy :)
