          Right.... I believe you.

I may be buying ferns next year if mine don't survive their transplant a short while ago.

After seeing @Jack Sparrow 's post about alliums, I'm tempted to order some of their bulbs too. Tnere is one called "Ambassador Allium" which is the deep purple but the description states that it has double the florets of other alliums. They are in my shopping cart at Veseys seeds just waiting for me to hit the checkout button!

@ARMANDII I am sat here pondering that question. Where? Well, I can grow it in between the cannabis....no, I guess not!

Think I'll go out there and scout out a spot. It's cool, cloudy and just generally miserable but I need the fresh air. Been inside all day doing housework and laundry. The loaves of bread are sitting for their second rising so I have lots of time to stroll now.

It may take a couple of years at least for allium ambassador to produce a good size flower @CanadianLori bulb has to grow to a good size for big flowers. I've just bought 6 bulbs at £24 which is quite expensive.

Went GC yesterday and got 4 bags of compost and a bag of manure for potentially replenishing the soil for a new grape vine . Also cleared out the clearance section for any worth while plants mostly bought them for mum garden but I think I'll have 3 of the 6 agastache blue fortune £1 each also some salvias at 50p each 3L pot and some over bits and pieces .

This year I bought Fuchsia boliviana, planning for a show of flowers next year.

I tried and failed (twice) to grow this and boliviana alba from seed.

Bit the bullet over the weekend and bought Fuchsia boliviana alba plants and they arrived today. Good strong plants.

                  IMG_4339.jpg

They have some growing to do but should make decent growth next year.

                  Happy !

Will do. They are a stunning looking plant but not at all frost hardy. Ive had success with growing a cutting from boliviana, just not from seed.

If I can get these to 4 or 5 feet tall then I will be more than happy. Don't think I'll get there next year though. Plants are very healthy

I had 3 parcels arrived this morning, one had Allium Gigantum and Fritillaria Uva Ulpi in it, the second had Allium White Giant, and the third had Hardy Perennial "Solomons Seal".
So, I think, that there should be only Allium "Globe Master" and Alliium "Cernum" to come and that should be the lot waiting to be planted ready for next Spring.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

@ARMANDII I am jealous. Outright jealous. My hesitation in ordering was a giant mistake. The bulbs are all sold out at every nursery that will ship to my location.

I will comfort myself by going through my collected seeds and making a list of things to order when the new catalogues arrive.
