Seed order arrived today. Seed packets in rubber bands, wrapped in a brown paper bag, sellotaped, then in a cardboard box. Packaging was first class but the waste of peoples time and waste of materials for packaging should be looked at.

oooo... a very nice haul! :dbgrtmb: Gardening is actually not that expensive a hobby especially if you are inclined in seed growing way.

However you might need to upsize in 50 years or so @andrews :heehee:

              Dioscorea elephantipes
It is a deciduous climber. It takes the name "elephant's foot" from the appearance of its large, partially buried, tuberous stem, which grows very slowly but often reaches a considerable size, often more than 3 m (10 ft) in circumference with a height of nearly 1 m (3 ft 3 in) above ground

@Selleri If I'm still around at 105 I'll be happy to see the size its grown to :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

In our climate they don't tend to grow this big although I've been told that they are available for sale in warmer parts of Europe filling a pallet.

We have one that is old - age unknown. Its a reasonable size but not huge. Just coming to the end of its growing season.

Don't ever feel the need to ask for forgiveness Mike. Val was a major part in your life and will always remain so. Share memories of her with us if possible, we would love to hear them. I always feel that by sharing memories we keep the person alive and even closer to us.
                        Take care x

If you use the dirt blaster you'll have to regout your patio , any way when using the dirt blaster you may want to put a drop of oil into the end were the pencil jet goes around and around as sometimes they start to slow down if they do just take off from trigger let water out and put a bit of oil into end again

Thanks, Jiffy, as I was wondering about that. My brick pavered patio was only installed over just a year ago and has sand brushed between the gaps along with garden debris over time. I'm going to use the other lance first to see how that performs and then, if I have to, use the Dirt Blaster tentatively so that I don't cause myself too much work rebrushing sand back into the gaps.

That is a great, practical tip, Jiffy, and I'll take heed of that..........many thanks:love30::thumbsup:

My second order of 7 Carnivore plants Serracenia arrived so I spent the afternoon potting them up into sphagnum moss in ceramic pots. Now they're sitting happily in the Green House:hapydancsmil:
