Does look like a Mirabilis root and flower pic, time will tell.

Needed some colour in the front garden as it has very little so I got these from my local indie GC with 25% off this month.

Seed Potatoes arrived from JBA. They have been waiting for the milder weather before shipping them to avoid frost damage in transit :blue thumb:

Suprise today, I was in Home Base, they had their seed tatties etc and Fish Blood Bone
noted that only I was looking for a replacement blow away cover Not in stock yet
Wandered to Pound Stretcher etc same same

So I took a deep breath and drove out to the independant garden centre
They did not have the covers either BUT

They had 52 varieties of seed potatoes Certified Scottish Seed, which were 10% cheaper than the pound shops
Also the shallots and onions All buy what you want lose and cheaper

Next Blood Fish and Bone 20% cheaper for Bowers quality not cheap unknown brand at poundies

Now some more of the back lawn has to go for the excess of International Kidney and King Edwards,

                    Jack McH

Wilkos have Mirabilis bulbs in.. quite strange, especially given it's by far the most exotic bulb (as in herbaceous perennials) in there.

I dont buy bulbs because I always forget about them, and chuck them away by accident.

A bag of 3 Hedychium gardnerianum for £6. That's a Jacobs Cream Cracker in the centre to give some scale - I'm rather pleased!

They look a bit dry mate.

                      The ginger that is.

                      The crackers always are.:rolleyespink:
