Tescos are selling fruit and native trees, so I picked up 1 pear and 1 plum for £7 each and 1 rowan for £4 and a hawthorn which had got a bit knocked so I got it knocked down to £2.80 :snork:

Feel a bit bad as I don't know the rootstock of the fruit trees and they could be rubbish but for £20 all in I'm not too fussed as I could have spent that on 1 fruit tree I guess! Plus they said bring them back for a refund if they don't work out!

Drove past Hodsock priory on the way to a meeting for work last week, and was sorely tempted to drop in, especially now as Simbad sells it well, but I don't think work would too happy with that use of my time! :heehee:

I've got free seeds from Suttons to Kristen. They are all named but all in the same packet, so I have no idea which ones are which......interesting! We'll both just have to wait and see what comes up. :)

By the way you are still Kristen and male aren't you? I've noticed recently you have a habit of changing name and sex. ;)

I was looking at those last week in Tescos. I'm glad to see they're the same price here as in the UK, it means they are not passing on the shipping fees to the island residents. :dbgrtmb:

21 bareroot perennial plants arrived from Thompson and Morgan today - a bargain as only had to pay £5 for P&P.

Do you think I can expect them to flower this year? (Mixture of Kniphofia, Hollyhocks, Delphinium, Eryngium, Liatris, Lupin and Physalis) I hope so!

There's no reason why they shouldn't flower this year. :)

Must stop buying! Popped into Morrisons after work for dog food and ended up buying 6 agapanthas and 2 honeysuckles! I'm well and truly addicted:snork: Keep saying to myself no more plants but I seem to get drawn to them like a magnet. Things is what with seeds on the go, and lots of plants already, I really have no idea where they are all going to go! I did draw up a plan a while back but that's gone right out the window now. My garden isn't that big so looks like I am going to have to widen some borders lol.

I've been spending at Morrisons too, I bought a Magnolia x soulangeana for £6. I also bought a bag of 40 Triteleia for £1 from Aldi and finally my local gardening centre had an offer on Globe Thistles and Gold standard Hostas

I got this Agave americana for three quid from a local nursery today..................

As a rule he specialises in Fuchsia and annuals, but bought a load of these a couple of years ago. He just wants shot of them now and is offering them to select customers first - I buy all my multi-purpose, terracotta and fired pots, and feed etc from him (but little in the way of plants except Fuchsia). I only called in to grab a couple of my favourite annual Fuchsia - left with "Jollies Nantes" (which I had for the first time last year and was an outstanding performer) and "Display".

Today I managed to go on the Millais website without buying any Rhododendrons

I did, however, managed to buy two Azaleas :loll:

            I bought a deciduous Denny's Rose ...

            and an evergreen Marinja ...

From mailordertrees.co.uk I also purchased an Acer Palmatum Orange Dream and a small Portuguese Laurel for my portable hedge/screening down the side of the drive.

              If we're talking t'interweb shopping, I ordered these last night;
              Habenaria radiata..................

              and Ariseama griffithii.................

I've grown and bloomed the Habenaria before, but lost them when back in growth in 2011 to what I suspect were thieving birds:gaah:
