Just ordered some Heritage Green exterior paint from Next for the fences. I may regret it before I'm done cos it's not as if I don't have anything else to do in the garden this year  I'm just sick of looking at dark brown fence on one side and unpainted one at the top. It's quite a light green so will make the garden look bigger hopefully than the brown stuff.

      It's this colour:

              Sal,
I have given up with those Zantedeschias.
They look great the first year. But then either come out very wishy washy, or don't flower again.

Zant aethiopica is the best one IMO.

Today, I bought one of these, two of these, two of these in readiness for my week off work in 7 days time.

I also bought 200 x 9cm pots, 200 x 5-inch labels, and 3m x 2m of weed suppressing fabric from Gardensuperstore, and 8 x Dahlia XXXL from T&M as the tubers from the four I had last year rotted during the winter.

The weirdest thing happened today [IMG] I was just pulling out of work when all of a sudden my car veered off in the opposite direction and took me another (longer) way home which went past Bents garden centre. Then my car just pulled in of its own accord and next thing I know I'm being drawn by some invisible force into the garden centre, which also collected a trolley which must have been magnetic as it was being pulled along with me [IMG] Then, EVEN STRANGER, when I got out into the planty bit, two Rhododendrons got dragged into my shopping trolley by the same invisible force! [IMG] I'm all shaky now from the shock! [IMG] The Rhododendrons have had enough trauma so I shall be kind and give them a home with me because I wouldn't want to uproot them again.
